Welland Canal Status was created to make the bridge status information available on mobile. Bridge status information is collected from the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway's informational website available here. This site is to provide a user friendly interface in collaboration with the mobile apps. The apps and website provide several pieces of useful data.

• Firstly the color of the bridge section indicates 1 of 3 states for the bridge, Available (green), Warning (amber), and Unavailable (Red). Available and Unavailable states are provided by the Seaway.
• The Seaway no longer provides estimates for boat arrivals.
